2023 Halloween Haunts and Tours

Hawaiʻi Island

Big Island Ghost Tours offers guided tours to some of Hawaii’s most supernatural and historical sites to experience a connection to ancient Hawaiʻi, the supernatural, and the afterlife. From places where missionaries brought disease, sites of human sacrifice, to modern sightings at resorts, parks, and museums built atop ancient burial grounds, many of the places visited on these tours offer history by day and are haunted by night. The Big Island in particular is well known for supernatural phenomenon including the Fire Goddess Madame Pele, Night Marchers, and sightings of the faceless ghost, many ancient Hawaiian legends are still very much entrenched in modern culture. Your guides include local authors and trained paranormal investigators who are familiar with Hawaii’s supernatural activity. Tours are offered every month of the year in Kona and Hilo, from $60pp and up.

Maui Halloween Events

Still TBA as of Oct 23,2023. Haunted Haiku Hike | Awalau Farm is a walking tour through a forest and wonderful storytelling journey about the history of Upcountry Maui’s ghosts and other haunted tales. Expect rain and bring a flashlight. Tickets: $40.

Molokaʻi Halloween Events

Still TBA as of Oct 23,2023. Haunted Homestead | Eventbrite Tickets by the Adolpho family. In 2020, the first Haunted Homestead event was created to bring a sense of celebration to Halloween without traditional trick-or-treating. The Adolphos decided to make it an annual event after the amazing response from the community. This is a fun, family Halloween celebration featuring attractions, a light show, food vendors, and free goodies for all the keiki. Something for the WHOLE FAMILY. It’s spook-tacular fun. Keiki are encouraged to dress in their Halloween costumes to receive a special treat. This is a FREE entry event open to the public. Registration required. Wednesdays in October (4, 11, 18, 25) + Halloween night. Frightening stories with Lopaka Kapanui, local storyteller of Hawaiian legends and supernatural happenings and joins PBS Hawai‘i’s podcast “What School You Went?” to share four frightening tales each Wednesday: Hale Mokihana, Waialae Drive-In, The Most Haunted Building in Honolulu and Pu‘uiki Cemetery. October 13-14, 20-22, 26-29, and 31, 2023. Skeleton Key Hawaii – KOA Theater. TERROR PLANET is a walk-through haunted house in the heart of Honolulu (780 S Beretania St)—the most relentless, hair-raising haunted attraction. Tickets: $10-$25; price increases each weekend.

Friday-Sunday, Oct 13-29 and October 31, 2023. Waipahu: Haunted Plantation is located on a REAL haunted village filled with professional actors. You will be chased and taunted by spirits of old Hawaiʻi.
