As O‘ahu’s oldest and largest cycling organization, Hawaii Bicycling League (HBL) advocates for positive changes that will help make Hawaiʻi a cycling paradise and encourage more people to ride bicycles. Whether you are an experienced rider, new to biking, or need more information about safe cycling on Oʻahu, HBL is a great resource for information about bike laws, bike registration, and safe riding.
About HBL
HBL offers riding and safety workshops for every skill level and age, from 4th graders to Seniors. There are commuter skills classes, basic maintenance workshops, and Oʻahu bike maps that rank how bike-friendly roadways are so you can plan your rides based on your cycling comfort level.
HBL’s Academy of Bicycling—a never-seen-before 24/7 interactive learning tool—is available online to bicyclists across Hawai’i. The HBL Academy features short online courses anyone can use to learn or expand their cycling knowledge, skills, and safety with Hawaiʻi-relevant resources and fun quizzes to review what you have learned. The bite-sized lessons were produced with people’s busy schedules in mind, so that you can learn on your own time at your own pace.
HBL’s online Academy of Bicycling is great to pair with other HBL workshops and events.
