An afternoon of conversations around weaving practices and storytelling. “Weaving Stories and Dreams” is an opportunity to connect and interact with Yakan Master Weaver Evelynda Otong Hamja and T’boli Master Storyteller and weaver, Myrna Pula from the Philippines. The event is a space for panel discussions about Yakan and T’boli culture and conversations about the intersectionality of weaving practices in the Philippines and in Hawaii, including weaving demonstrations, performances and cultural exchange. Panel discussion will be led by Jenna Pascual, Pinay Certified Life Coach, Facilitator and Laughter Yoga Practitioner. This event is open to all ages.
