Ancient Hawaiians were incredibly knowledgeable through their relationships with place, people and their akua (Deities) and ancestors. Noah Gomes joins us from Hawaiʻi Island to share ‘Story Maps’—weaving stories of the past with interviews collected of more recent relationships with native manu (birds). ALL AGES WELCOME. HEI (STRING GAME) WILL BE SHARED WITH CHILDREN WHO MAY TAKE HOME A LEARNING KIT. REFRESHMENTS will be served courtesy of the Friends of the Hanapēpē Public Library.
