About Aloha Stadium
Aloha Stadium is Hawaii’s largest outdoor arena, replacing the Honolulu Stadium (hawaii.gov) (1926-1975). Aloha Stadium has become a Gathering Place where the spirit of achievement is nourished by the thrill of competition—a very special venue where families can share their cultural diversity with pride and a feeling of Aloha. The stadium is home to the University of Hawaiʻi Warriors football team. Sporting events at Aloha Stadium include football, baseball, soccer, boxing, festivals, concerts, auto shows, motocross, mud races, tractor pulls, concerts, and carnivals.
Over the decades since it’s opening in 1975, Aloha Stadium has welcomed soccer star Pele, NFL Pro Bowl and Hula Bowl, the Pan-Pacific Championship Soccer Tournament, and countless other sell-out crowds at sporting events in rugby, skateboarding, boxing, and lots more.
In addition, the Stadium hosts a multitude of events attracting visitors from around the world. In addition to the Swap Meet & Marketplace, throughout the year, you can enjoy religious and music events, consumer expos, and community fairs. Musical performers in all genre have been welcomed, including Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, Rolling Stones, Ziggy Marley, and many, many more.
NASED: New Stadium construction begins 2025
O‘ahu is planning to build a new multi-sport stadium on the existing 98-acre Aloha Stadium site located in Hālawa. The New Aloha Stadium Entertainment District (NASED) will be a mixed-use, live-work-play-thrive community and destination, with a new multi-purpose stadium serving as the centerpiece. It will celebrate Hawaii’s unique culture and inspire Aloha for the community and visitors alike. More info: New Aloha Stadium Entertainment District (NASED) (hawaii.gov)
