“Kāhuli” broadly refers to land snails, not just the famous Oʻahu tree snails. At least 759 species of land snails are native to Hawaiʻi—99% of them are found nowhere else in the world! Unfortunately, most of them are critically endangered. The Kāhuli Festival is your chance to learn about and celebrate the rich biocultural diversity that makes Hawaiʻi unique.
