Starting in the 1880s, delve into the story of Sojourner Truth, an activist for African American civil rights and women’s rights. Explore the contributions of George Washington Carver, who improved the lives of farmers and was a leader in environmentalism. Learn about the folk hero John Henry’s “tall tales”. Suitable for ages 5 and older. Young children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver.
