Annual Mō’ili’ili Summer Fest celebrates the historic district with Honolulu’s largest Bon Dance and modern street festival at Coyne Street and University Avenue in the former Varsity Theatre parking lot. The Mō‘ili‘ili Summer Fest is a lively event in one of Honolulu’s most historic and vivacious neighborhoods. Each year, thousands of guests dance in the Honolulu’s largest Japanese Bon Dance of the season, enjoy delicious foods, and visit a rich array of area retailers and artisans. The Mō’ili’ili Summer Fest is produced by Kamehameha Schools, the Mō’ili’ili Hongwanji Mission, the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawai‘i, the Mō’ili’ili Community Center, and the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.
