Local playwright Lee Cataluna’s classic, island-style comedy opens the Manoa Valley Theatre 2025/26 season September 11-28, 2025. Season tickets now on sale. Single tickets go on sale July 1. “Da Mayah” is about a fictional mayor and his loyal assistant. The new mayor of Hilo has a past he’s trying to keep secret. His assistant is doing everything in her power to keep the county running right while keeping da mayah from running off the rails. A subplot involving a careless hitman and washerette/karaoke bar owner will have audiences rolling in the aisles.
