Learn from Local Author Cassie Pardee what fishery scientists do and how their data is shared with our local community. Cassie’s book “Hawaiʻi’s Reef Fish: Food, Science, and Tradition” is a community effort by Poseidon Fisheries Research with help from a NOAA Fisheries grant. The book presents community recipes with biology, ecology, and traditional Hawaiian uses of commonly caught coral reef fish. This program has appeal for all age groups. Hands-on microscope activity.
