In 1993, the Hawai‘i State Legislature and Governor established Children and Youth Day (CYD) in Hawai‘i as the first Sunday of every October to celebrate and honor our children and youth and the special contributions they make to our community. 2024 Children and Youth Day offers over 90 booth activity participants, 8 food vendors, 2 entertainment stages, and Goodie Bags for keiki! Carpooling, The Bus, or cycling to the event are recommended. Free and paid parking are available. Punchbowl street, between King and Beretania Streets, will be closed to vehicle traffic for the event. More info: Hawai’i Children & Youth Day (hawaiicyd.org)
