Hāmākua Harvest promotes local agriculture, local farmers, and a healthy rural lifestyle for the benefit of Hāmākua’s communities, economy, and environment. The annual harvest festival begins with Piko a Wākea, a morning celebration announcing the upcoming season of Makahiki, followed by an all-day lineup of local musicians, Hula Halau performances, a “Wear your Harvest” Fashion show, and Fruit & Veggie Contest. Throughout the event there will be Agriculture Education Tents including a Seed & Plant Exchange, and over 25 Farmers Market vendors serving up ʻOno Food, showcasing Locally Grown Produce, unique Handmade Arts and Crafts, and Stylin’ New Hāmākua Harvest Merchandise! Free and open to all ages. SNAP/EBT accepted. More info: Hāmākua Harvest (hamakuaharvest.org)
