Kalaupapa Month is a great time to visit an award-winning photo exhibit about Kalaupapa that continues to be displayed at The Molokai Museum and Cultural Center. “Reflections of Kalaupapa: Past, Present and Future,” a photo exhibit produced by Ka ‘Ohana O Kalaupapa* of 100 historical and modern photos of the people of Kalaupapa and their family members, mostly by acclaimed photographer Wayne Levin, is on display in the Molokai museum. * Ka ‘Ohana O Kalaupapa was established in August, 2003, as a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the value and dignity of every individual who was exiled to the Kalaupapa peninsula beginning in 1866.
