The Waimea Cherry Blossom Heritage Festival every February in beautiful upcountry Kamuela is a town-wide celebration to showcase the annual blooming of its historic cherry trees in Church Row Park and the Japanese tradition of viewing and appreciating the transient beauty of their flowers, or hanami. Spend the day enjoying Japanese and multi-cultural performing arts, plus hands-on demonstrations of bonsai, traditional tea ceremony, food preparation by local chefs and dozens craft vendors- and mochi pounding! Park at Parker Ranch and enjoy free shuttle transportation provided by Roberts Hawaii. Walking is also encouraged. No tickets necessary, no cost to attend.
