Every September, Kū Mai Ka Hula features award-winning hālau (hula school) competing in solo and group performances. Male and female dancers perform both kahiko (traditional) and ‘auana (modern) hula stylings. Participating hālau come from throughout Hawai‘i, the continental U.S., and Japan. Expect to see hālau competing at a high level of performance. More info: Ku Mai Ka Hula | Facebook and Kū Mai Ka Hula (kumaikahula.com)
