Waikiki Fireworks will welcome the New Year at the stroke of midnight on December 31. The fabulous display will fill the sky with electrifying colors and bright lights, including domestic and international fireworks such as Alpha-Grucci and multi-pattern shells. Numerous shells are fired simultaneously, splitting and blazing as an arch across the night sky, leaving behind a sparking trail that creates a Golden Milky Way effect. The main act concludes with a display of beautiful and powerful scenes featuring the trademark shell – the Grucci Gold Split Comet. Good vantage points are anywhere along Waikīkī Beach from Hilton Hawaiian Village to Kapiʻolani Park Beach or any public park at higher elevation–please do not block roadways or stop on the freeway! Hawaii Public Radio will air a live radio special, so tune your radio to FM KHPR 88.1 or 88.5. More info: Events — Waikiki Improvement Association
