Remotely kyōgen: Japanese comedy theatre under the (virtual) stars

Known for poking fun at those in power, the Japanese comical theatre form kyōgen has delighted and entertained audiences for over 600 years. This uplifting program of smiles and laughter begins with a classic play presented by professional kyōgen performers in Japan (recorded and streamed). The classic play is followed by new translations and adaptations of popular works of kyōgen, as well as completely new works inspired by kyōgen, with entertaining interludes between each play.
