July 4th weekend (July 1 to July 4), transit on Skyline and TheBus will be free WITH a valid HOLO card. Riders will need to tap their HOLO cards on TheBus or at Skyline station fare gates in order to enter and ride. No charge will be taken from the cards. More info: Home (holocard.net). In addition, TheHandi-Van (thehandivan.org) rides will also be free from July 1 to July 4.
To ride free this weekend, you’ll need to have a valid HOLO card with funds. Skyline Rail riders will need to “tap” their cards on the HOLO card reader at the fare gate at the entrance of each station. HOLO card vending kiosks will also be located next to the fare gates. New and modified TheBus routes will also be in affect on July 1. More info: TheBus Rider Alerts. Expect a lot of riders this weekend. Be sure to ride with aloha. Use “elevator” etiquette (let riders off first before you board, let keiki and kupuna have seats, etc.)
