Animal agriculture plays an important and rapidly evolving role in the food system of Hawai’i. Featured speakers will be Chad Buck of the Hawaii Foodservice Alliance and Thomas Heaton from Honolulu Civil Beat. They will discuss the recent developments in industrial scale animal agriculture in Hawai’i and the known ecological, social and economic costs and benefits. The conversation will explore best practices in animal agriculture to advance health, equity, resilience and sustainability in the food system of Hawai’i.
