Founded in 1949, the Hawaiian Astronomical Society (HAS) is a tax-exempt, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting amateur astronomy in Hawaii. Hawaiian Astronomical Society free, public star parties
- Sat 1/14/2023, 7:00p – 12:00a. Public Star Party @ Kawaihapai Airfield (formerly Dillingham Airfield) in Mokuleia (north shore). Note: The gate to the airfield is locked at around 7:00 p.m. so you must be in the viewing area before then. The gate will be opened at scheduled times to allow people to leave – usually about two hours after sundown, at 10:30 p.m. and at midnight (when everyone must leave).
