Honolulu Museum of Art (HoMA) presents “David Hockney: Perspective Should Be Reversed” November 17, 2023 through March 10, 2024. It is the largest North American retrospective print exhibition of Hockney’s career, with more than 100 colorful prints, collages, and photographic and iPad drawings in a variety of media spanning six decades of the artist’s career. Best known for vivid scenes such as Southern California swimming pools, intimate abstracted portraits, playful theater designs, and expansive landscape panoramas, the 2023-2024 HoMA exhibition showcases the artist’s iconic and inventive style, reinforcing his international reputation as one of the foremost avant-garde realists of our time. Highlighting some of Hockney’s (b. 1937) most celebrated series and individual prints, the exhibition presents a wide range of styles, from the artist’s earliest etchings of the mid-1950s and 60s to his recent experimental iPad drawings. HoMA open Wednesday-Sunday. Closed New Year’s, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. More info: David Hockney: Perspective Should Be Reversed | Honolulu Museum of Art
