Since November 2020, Hawaiian Astronomical Society (HAS) meetings have been held via ZOOM.
Hawaiian Astronomical Society (HAS) is a tax-exempt, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting astronomy in Hawaii. Regular club meetings take place the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. Meetings are open to the general public. Drop in and see what they have to offer. The monthly HAS newsletter, The Astronews, keeps members informed of the club’s many activities as well as astronomy-related topics of local and global interest. Members also enjoy substantial group discounts on subscriptions to Sky & Telescope, and Astronomy magazines. HAS conducts monthly dark-sky star parties and owns several telescopes that are available for rent to members. Finally, Club members assist the Bishop Museum’s Planetarium staff at special events. Regular dues are $20 per year, $12 for students. Additional family members may join for $2 each per year. More info: Hawaiian Astronomical Society (HAS) (hawastsoc.org)
