Is the local farmers maket on Waikiki Beach Walk going on during the month of August, 2021?
Carole Cancler says
According to their website today, The Beach Walk Market is suspended until further notice due to Hawaii state restrictions. However, my understanding it is not a farmers market, rather a local arts & craft market.
The nearest farmers markets to Waikīkī are at Kaka’ako (west) and Kapi’olani Community College (east). Depending on your location, they are about 2.5 miles from Waikīkī. Both are open Saturday morning. More info on farmers markets: https://hawaiionthecheap.com/farmers-markets/
If you are just looking to buy fresh produce, there is a very small selection at some ABC stores. For more selection, try Dukes Marketplace on Kūhiō or Mitsuwa Marketplace in the International Marketplace (2nd floor, just off Kūhiō). For still more, the nearest grocery stores (less than 2 miles away) are Foodland at Ala Moana Shopping Center (look for the sign on Ala Moana Blvd) and Safeway on Kapahulu.
