The Hawaiian Airlines Holoholo Challenge launched in 2020 as an opportunity for friends to holoholo (go out) and stay connected. Inspired by the Hawaiian Islands, the virtual fitness challenge features courses that span the distance between some of our most treasured places. Now in its second year, the Holoholo Challenge celebrates the landscapes of Maui for 2021, with three new ways to participate during the entire month of October. This year the Holoholo Challenge is extended to international friends; however, the website is only available in English. Excited to join the fun? Mark your calendar: Registration opens September 1, 2021. More info: Hawaiian Airlines Holoholo Challenge (runsignup.com)
How it works: Hawaiian Airlines Holoholo Challenge
You have the entire month of October to walk, run, cycle, or swim the distance of your virtual course, inspired by special locations on Maui. Track your mileage through the website as you go — along the way, you will get to know which iconic landmarks you would be passing on the Valley Isle. (Keep in mind that these virtual courses aren’t actual routes to take in person.) Consider the final step of your distance to be the finish line.
