Maui needs our help. In response to the devastating fires on Maui, organizations across Hawaiʻi have joined together to produce “Maui Ola: A Benefit Concert for Maui,” including live concerts on Oʻahu and Hawaiʻi Island and a broadcast fundraiser. One-hundred-percent of the proceeds will support Maui’s severely impacted communities. All artists, production staff and broadcast partners are donating time and resources to deliver a resounding message to Maui and the rest of the world. In times of need, Hawaiʻi bands together and helps one another. 100% of all $20 ticket sales will be evenly distributed to four organizations: Maui United Way, Hawaiʻi Community Foundation, Hawaiʻi People’s Fund, Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement. More info: Parker Ranch Center | Facebook and Maui Ola at Parker Ranch (no ticket needed).

What time does the concert at Parker Ranch actually start? Is it all day from 10-4, or starting at 6:00. Unclear to me and I want to drive over from Pāhoa
Carole Cancler says
My understanding is the Hawaii Island concert is 10-4, with a concurrent supply drive of specific items. The broadcast begins at 6PM, which sounds to me like it is an additional concert, with some portions re-broadcast from the live concert. Here is exactly what it says on mauiola.org, it lists:
HAWAI‘I ISLAND: 10 – 4 HST
O‘AHU: 5 – 9 PM HST
BROADCAST STARTS AT 6:00PM HST on mele.com, Hawai‘i TV, and radio stations.
Maui Ola: A benefit concert for Maui brings together Hawaiʻi’s musicians, production professionals, media community, and dozens of others who are donating 100% of their efforts to aloha Maui, using music as a vehicle to help the healing process, rallying much needed aid from across Hawai‘i and around the world.
How can you help? Stand with Maui, wherever you are from. Show your support by heading to the concerts on O‘ahu and Hawai‘i island. Tune in on TV, on mele.com, on social media, on the radio. Invite family and friends to join you. Share the calls for support with everyone you know. Let’s send Maui our strength, support, and aloha. Donate.
