Presenting for your enjoyment a video of varied experiences of the author Mark Twain. This was a production at the Na’alehu Theater in 2004, part of the “Mark Twain Festival” starring Jerry Tracy. This is its first showing at any library! Jerry Tracy, the former director of APAC in Kailua, and a Missouri native (as was Mark Twain), spins tales of Twain’s travels to the Big Island and his planting of the monkey pod tree in Waiohinu. This FREE showing should be enjoyed by all, for Twain’s humor about politics, politicians, and his visions of Madam Pele. A Friends of the Ka`u Libraries reception will follow the showing, outside under the Library’s monkey pod tree.
