Hawai‘i is the most ethnically and culturally diverse State in the nation. From the arrival of Polynesians to the 21st Century, pride, renewal, and fusion are terms used to define the stories we tell of ourselves and of those who have influenced our island lifestyle. Aunty Nyla Fujii-Babb has been a storyteller, actress, voice-over talent, and producer for over 30 years. She will share stories and music that took root in our island home. Sponsored by the Friends of the Libraries, Kona. This program is a production of the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa Outreach College Statewide Cultural Extension Program with funding provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, Hawai‘i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, and the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.
