E Kanikapila Kakou (EKK) is the Garden Island Arts Council’s premier Hawaiian music program where the best Hawaiian musicians come to Kaua’i for a real old-time get together. Featured presenters are dedicated to performing traditional hula and chants, as well as music from recent eras. Concerts are individually ticketed. Food and beverages are available to purchase throughout the evening. Tickets: kamaʻāina $10, visitor $20. 2022 EKK concert schedule
Doors open at 5 PM for an informal jam starting at 5:15 PM–bring an instrument if you like. At 6 PM, the jam breaks up and presenters take to the stage for a rollicking good time of music, hula, and talk-story.

- Week 5 (April 18): ‘O’iwi–John Mahi, Bronson Aiwohi, and DJ Yaris
- Week 6 (April 25): “Community Hula Night” with Malie Foundation
- Special Event (May 30): “Legacy of Our Legends”: Makana hosts a special concert featuring various musicians honoring the music of E Kanikapila Kākou legends
